Compared with the familiar fingerprint recognition, iris recognition and face recognition, vein recognition is relatively unfamiliar to everyone, but now vein recognition has begun to be applied in many industry markets. Vein recognition technology mainly uses the characteristics of hemoglobin in human blood to absorb near-infrared light to obtain vein images. It has the following six characteristics:

1、The misrecognition rate is less than 8 per 10 million, which is 10 times that of fingerprints and 100 times that of human faces. It has the highest accuracy in the industry;

2、Living body recognition: data cannot be read without living body characteristics (from a medical perspective, once the palm leaves the human body, the entire life activity will be lost in no more than 3 minutes, and the hemoglobin in the blood will also be destroyed);

3、Quick and easy to use; it can be identified in 1 second, even if the skin is damaged or dirty, it will not be affected;

4、Stable characteristics: Palm vein characteristics vary from person to person, from left to right hands, and remain unchanged throughout life;

5、Security and anti-theft: internal body characteristic information cannot be stolen, protecting personal privacy;

6、Contactless: leaves no trace

  According to data, the global biometric market size will reach US$25 billion in 2020. In 2015, veins accounted for only 2%, but by 2020, it will grow fourfold and capture 8% of the market share.
